The day flew by us yet again. We enjoyed a relaxing morning followed by a warm walk to the train station and a stuffy train ride to Naples. The train was 20 minutes late pushing it that extra bit. Even though the ride itself was only a painful hour and ten minute journey. It certainly felt longer.
We booked a hotel close to the airport, that meant walking to a more industrial area. Note to self, always take that as look for means of transportation. The walk wasn't bad even though there was an incline, but the heat made it worse. We stopped half way for a cold coffee before making the final stretch. All in all it really wasn't a bad walk. Plus, we got to see a different side of Naples then before.
We got to the hotel and enjoyed the fast and strong AC and we let our bodies cool and our clothes dry. By this time it was already 430. I proceeded to nap, cause the sun takes a lot out of me and why not really. When I awoke we read for a bit for going up to the roof top restaurant for dinner.
We had a lovely dinner and evening that followed. Our view was looking over the city. Was great. As was the food. We shared a salad, risotto, swordfish, and chicken. As well as a bottle of wine, concluding the meal with our last glass of limoncello. It was a very lovely evening. Watching the sun go down, and enjoying the last night in Italy.
Crazy to think not only the trip has flown by but so has Italy. We have loved Italy. It is the type of place you really enjoy, but also practical. You could see yourself moving to. Italy was the largest portion of being in the same country. Tomorrow we head into more of an unknown, where the language is unreadable, and the terrain mostly foreign. And we can't wait.
And so the adventure continues...
